What to expect

The shape of a Sunday Night.

Most people who come for the first time say the same thing afterward: "Oh, it's just dinner." That's the whole idea. Here's what actually happens, in order.

5:00 pm · Dinner

Eat first.

Real food. Real conversation. Rachel coordinates the meal, but everyone pitches in. If you're new, you don't need to bring anything — just show up hungry.

5:45 pm · Worship

Sing together.

A few songs led simply on guitar. Mix of old hymns and modern worship. No screens performing at you.

6:00 pm · The Word

Open the Bible.

Pastor Jesse takes about 25–30 minutes to walk through a passage. We're working through books of the Bible together, one section at a time.

6:30 pm · After

Stay or go.

Coffee, kids playing, dishes getting done, conversations spilling out the door. Slip out when you need to. We get it.

Questions we hear a lot.

If your question isn't here, text Rachel at 281.732.8263. She really doesn't mind.

When and where do you meet?

Sunday Nights at 5:00 pm. We meet at 65 S. Kiowa Rd. in Questa, NM, at the corner of S. Kiowa and Old Red River Rd.

What happens on a Sunday Night?

We share a meal together first — a real dinner — then we sing a few songs, and Pastor Jesse opens the Bible and walks through a passage. About 90 minutes, plus hanging around afterward if you'd like.

What should I wear?

Whatever you wore today is fine. Some people come straight from work, some from the trail. There's no dress code.

Is there a kids' program?

Kids are welcome at the table during dinner and during worship. We don't have a separate kids' program every week — but on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays during the school year, 6th–12th grade students have their own Bible study at 6pm.

I'm not sure what I believe about any of this. Am I still welcome?

Yes. Whether this is your first time inside a church in years or your fortieth this decade, you belong at our table. Come ask hard questions. Come quiet. Come however you are.

How do I get in touch before I come?

Text or call Rachel at 281.732.8263, or email [email protected]. She'll be the first face you meet anyway, so saying hi early is welcome.

Stay in touch

Get the email before you come (or after).
